Sr. M. Magdalena and Sr. Mariana visited Brazil from February 8 to 21, 2024. They had a Regional Meeting with the sisters in Brazil with the theme “Fraternity and social companionship, We are all brothers and sisters (Mt 23:8)”. They experienced a sense of unity as a big family. Each sister tried her best to live in communion with each other and with all creation. They also shared their experiences, listened to reports from the community, and talked about the future of their ministry. Later, the sisters elected a new regional council.

Sr. M. Magdalena and Sr. Mariana were delighted to be able to visit all three communities (motherhouse and novitiate in Santarém, Curuá/ Obidos Diocese) and get to know the sisters in their workplaces, despite the low water level in the Amazon river and the consequent reduction in shipping. They had intensive meetings with the Archbishop Irineu Roman of Santarém and Bishop Bernardo Johannes Bahlmann of Obidos. Both bishops expressed their joy and gratitude for the presence of the sisters in their dioceses.
