In Memoriam

Sr. M. Marta Simamora was born in Sijarango, Pakkat, North Sumatra, Indonesia on July 25, 1954. She entered Postulancy on June 9, 1973 and her Final Vows on June 20, 1982. Her life motto is "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light on my path" (Ps 119:105).   At the age of 69, on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 03.30 WIB, Sr. M. Marta Simamora passed away at Bajawa Public Hospital, Were. The body was sent from Labuan Bajo Airport to Medan on Sunday, January 15, 2023. The sisters in Pematang Siantar received her body with prayers and songs. She was taken to her final resting place on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. For several days the FCJM sisters kept vigil, prayed, and held a funeral mass for Sr. Marta. She was buried at the FCJM Sisters Cemetery in Sinaksak, North Sumatra, Indonesia.

Sr. M. Wilharde Schrapper FCJM joined the FCJM Congregation on August 5, 1952 and made her perpetual vows on May 19, 1958. Her life motto was "The LORD is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack. In green pastures he makes me lie down; to still waters he leads me; he restores my soul (Psalm 23:1-2)."   She passed away on March 5, 2023 in Salzkotten, Germany. The funeral Mass took place on Monday, May 8, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. in the church of the Motherhouse in Salzkotten, Germany, and the funeral followed.    

Sr. M. Adelheide Lübke FCJM joined the FCJM Congregation on July 31, 1959 and took her final vows on May 19, 1967. The motto she lived was: "Into your hands I commend my spirit; you will redeem me, LORD, God of truth (Psalm 31:6)." She passed away on March 7, 2023 in Salzkotten, Germany. The solemn Mass for the repose of her soul was held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. in Salzkotten, Germany. She was buried on the same day.   .    

Sr. M. Yohana Simbolon FCJM was born in Tebing Tinggi, North Sumatra, Indonesia on November 11, 1968. She entered Postulancy on November 1, 1988 and took her final vows on June 28, 1997. Her life motto, "I dare to be a witness to Christ who suffered, died and risen (cf. Luke 9:26)," she united her sufferings in unceasing prayer to God. She passed away on March 08, 2023 at 01:00. The sisters accompanied her passing with continuous prayers, songs and masses. On March 9, 2023, she was buried at the FCJM Sisters Cemetery in Sinaksak, North Sumatra, Indonesia.

Sr. M. Bernadette van Wijngaarden FCJM was born on March 5, 1939 in Bussum. For 59 years she was a member of the FCJM Congregation. She passed away on March 25, 2023 in Aerdenhout, Netherland. A farewell prayer service took place on Wednesday, March 29 at 18.30 in the chapel of the 'Klooster Alverna', followed by a funeral at the Kloosterkerkhof.
