On Sunday, March 17, 2024 some of the JPIC Franciscan Team in KAM, namely Sr. Verena Sianturi FCJM, together with RP. Alexander Silaen OFM. Cap and some KSFL sisters went to Simangulampe, Bakkara where there was a natural disaster that we reported in January 2024. The purpose of the Franciscan JPIC in KAM going there was to hand over the donations that had been collected in December 2023 from several Franciscan Congregations in KAM and from several observers. The donation was supposed to be given on December 5 when the team went there, but at the suggestion of the Parish Priest, the donation was postponed until March 17, 2024. They were very happy to receive the donation which can be used to help rebuild their lives. (Sr. Monica Harianja FCJM)
