The Seed of The Call to be an FCJM in Malawi

The Seed of The Call to be an FCJM in Malawi

When did the seed of the call to become an FCJM in Malawi start? According to the story of Sr Clara, the seed of vocation was already there a few years ago. There was a girl who met Sister and asked ‘can I be like Sister?’.

And from this brief encounter and conversation we together hold the hope that a vocation will grow. And someday, if God prompts us to start a formation house in Malawi, it will happen.

As time went by, that hope gradually became realised. With the mutual agreement between the Church leaders of Lilongwe diocese and FCJM leaders. And it will start precisely in Dowa.

The first step we made was to make an announcement in the parish and in the outstation. Inviting girls who felt interested in becoming FCJM Sisters, to join the come and see programme. The first meeting in September 2022 was attended by 12 Sympathisers, most of them were still in school. This meeting was aimed at getting to know each other. Between the Sympathisers and the Sisters. And we have had several meetings;

Here they are with great joy:
