Sr. M. Emmanuela and Sr. Mariana visited the Sisters in Malawi from April 4 – 16. They met Sr. M. Angela Benoit and Sr. M. Johanna Harke at the airport in Addis Ababa, and together they went on to Lilongwe, where they were warmly welcomed by our Sisters.

At the beginning, the Sisters visited our new community in Dowa. They exchanged ideas with the Sisters, visited the building site of the new formation house and the rooms where the sewing courses are held. The next day in the community in Madisi was filled with reflection and planning related to formation and the future in Dowa and Madisi.

The Sisters also visited the Archbishop of Lilongwe, Dr. George Tambala. It was a good conversation, and the archbishop expressed his appreciation for the work and presence of our Sisters in both communities.

At the St. Francis School and the kindergarten in Madisi, the visitors were welcomed with songs and various programs by the students and teachers. For Sr. M. Emmanuela it was a great reunion after many years! Both Sisters returned to the Generalate with hearts full of joy and gratitude for their experiences in Malawi. We wish our Sisters in Malawi many blessings and joy in their mission!
