Vocational Stories

Our FCJM Sisters Vocation Stories

“God’s call in each person is unique and special. None of us has the same initial calling. In our life experiences, God is present, from the ordinary to the extraordinary, even to the challenging. God has His own way of calling, forming, and assigning us to be stewards in His salvific work. Below we share some vocational stories of the FCJM sisters from different backgrounds. Their stories may inspire and motivate us for reading it. They have gone through a series of joys and hardships. Yet, God continues to sustain their faith. Thus, we understand the beauty of God’s plan in everyone’s life.”

I deeply believe that my vocation began with God’s intense YES to my life. I was deprived of my space for movement and development in my mother’s womb, so a major abdominal operation became necessary. This was followed by days of difficult childbirth, which demanded a lot from my mom and me. Despite this strain, I was born healthy, albeit skinny. Yes, God wanted my life!

“Before I formed you in your mother’s womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you…” (Jeremiah 1:5)

As I grow in knowledge of God and in faith, I am also growing in a way how to entrust my  life’s journey to God Himself, because He is the one who formed and knows me. Trusting in His plan, rely on His help and protection so that I remain faithful in my call, and faithful in carrying out this entrusted mission.

Being born into a religious family, I’m really grateful that God placed me in that setting. My dad and mom were very active in church life, leading me to ponder “what were they looking for with that way of life?” Nevertheless, social life also remained an important part of their lives. My dad and mom always participated in all community activities including cultural activities.

Our paths are mysteries of Divine Providence, leading us according to God’s will, even if we do not understand it. (Mother M. Clara)

I was born on 18 October 1978 in Caransebeș/Romania.

I grew up in Slatina-Timiș, a town at the foot of the Semenic Mountain, with Roman Catholics of Romanian nationality, in a Christian family with a sister, a brother and two wonderful parents who gave us their unconditional love, understanding and support., I experienced the love of God and human beings in the bosom of our family.
