Sr. M. Marta Simamora was born in Sijarango, Pakkat, North Sumatra, Indonesia on July 25, 1954. She entered Postulancy on June 9, 1973 and her Final Vows on June 20, 1982. Her life motto is “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light on my path” (Ps 119:105).

At the age of 69, on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 03.30 WIB, Sr. M. Marta Simamora passed away at Bajawa Public Hospital, Were. The body was sent from Labuan Bajo Airport to Medan on Sunday, January 15, 2023. The sisters in Pematang Siantar received her body with prayers and songs. She was taken to her final resting place on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. For several days the FCJM sisters kept vigil, prayed, and held a funeral mass for Sr. Marta. She was buried at the FCJM Sisters Cemetery in Sinaksak, North Sumatra, Indonesia.
