From July 7 to 11, 2026 an iconography course was held at the Sisters’ House in Caransebeș, attended by consecrated persons from various monastic orders, as well as laypeople eager to deepen their understanding of the beauty and spirituality of icon art.

The course was led by Fr. Isaac Vela, a Greek Catholic monk, who guided the participants both in learning the basic techniques of icon painting and in understanding the theological and symbolic significance of the icon in the Christian tradition.

Held in an atmosphere of tranquility, prayer, and fraternal fellowship, the course combined artistic and spiritual formation, offering participants a unique experience of learning, reflection, and drawing closer to God through sacred art.
