Eleven Sisters Professed their Final Vows in Indonesian Province

The final vows celebration of eleven FCJM Sisters was celebrated solemnly. The FCJM Sisters choir group, Postulants, Novices, and professed sisters, performed wonderful songs that harmonized greatly during the Eucharistic celebration. The diocesan young brothers also participated in playing musical such as guitar, violin, batak drum instruments, flutes, and organ. The Eucharistic celebration took place in a great solemn at the Sacred Heart Chapel of Motherhouse, Saturday (May 24, 2024).

There were about 30 priests’ concelebrants. The main celebrant was Father Joseph Lesta S. Pandia, OFM Conv, Episcopal Vicar Pro Religious of Medan Archdiocese. Invite guests from different family members and friends of the professed Sisters were present. A great number of around 500 people came to give support to the eleven professed Sisters.
“He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken” (Psalm 62:2) was the motto chosen by the Final Professed Sisters. This Psalm is closely related to the Gospel about the Vine. “I am the vine and you are the branches”. Jesus wants to say that everyone who follows Him, will bear much fruits. This is our tasks,” said Father Joseph in his homily.

Furthermore, Father Joseph emphasized that the parents of the jubilarians have offered their daughters to the Congregation. Therefore, they should not demand many things so that they can carry out their services freely and sincerely.

“I hope all of us here will continue to support the sisters who just professed their final vows so that they can also be fruitful and share their love with all of us and the people,” said Sr. M. Magdalena Schmitz FCJM, General Directress of the FCJM Congregation.

Sr. M. Magdalena thanked all those who came and showed their support in this celebration, especially those who accompanied in the life journey of the eleven sisters.

Sr. M. Theodosia Tinambunan FCJM as the Province Directress announced the new mission assignments for them. They are assigned to various communities of our congregations, both local and International Communities, such as Malawi, the Netherlands, Bekasi- Pondok Gede, Medan, and others remain in their previous tasks.

As last remaks, Sr. M. Theodosia once again thanking all the family members, the priests, and those who were presented.
