In commemoration of Earth Day April 22, 2024, all FCJM communities and schools under the auspices of the Putri Hati Kudus Foundation participated through worship and action. The theme echoed this year was “planet versus plastic”. In this prayer service, we were reminded of how dangerous plastic is for our mother earth. So the sisters, the employees, the students in the school were asked to reduce the use of plastic. And if it must be used, it is expected to reuse it so as to reduce the volume of plastic waste. This moment became a moment of ecological education for us who started our education from kindergarten to senior sisters.

In commemoration of Earth Day, we also organized an online Eco enzyme making training for the sisters. The purpose of this training is one of the ways to take care of the earth, namely by using kitchen waste into eco enzymes which can be used as organic fertilizer, health and house cleaning. The resource person for this training was Sr. Verena FCJM. The sisters were enthusiastic about this training, and have started making eco enzymes in their respective communities and units.
