Being Chosen to Bear Fruit
From early March 2025, Sr. Venantia already felt her illness in Pakkat. For several days she underwent treatment in Pakkat by the Sisters at the St. Bernadet Clinic. On March 11, 2025 Sr.Venantia got treated at Harapan Hospital Pematangsiantar with a diagnosis of CKD and Acites then hospitalized until March 15, 2025 then later transferred to Elisabet Hospital Medan with a diagnosis of Ileus (blockage in the intestines) and treated until March 24, 2025. Sr.Venantia then underwent recovery in the Sei Padang Community.
On March 29, 2025, arrived at St. Clara Community Pematangsiantar to undergo recovery as well as follow-up to Doctor Jhon Efraim Ginting. On April 8, she went to her doctor’s office for control. The results of the intestinal ultrasound have improved, but there was swelling of the gallbladder and gallstones were found. The doctor recommended to take medicine and gradually got better day by day.
Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 06.15 WIB she died peacefully in the St. Clara Pematangsiantar community at the age of 60.
Sr. M. Venantia Tamba FCJM was a prayerful sister who lived a disciplined life and dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her religious call and the community. She was known as a person who trusted God’s will through the wisdom of the superiors, especially in her ministry. Throughout her life as a sister, she faithfully served God through education, bringing the light of knowledge and faith to many people. Her warm, loving figure and leadership spirit made the young ones feel close and inspired by her exemplary personality. Following her example, some of her family members have joined her in the religious life.
Her presence in the congregation and community was a blessing. She was a model of obedience, love of prayer, sisterly life and totality in her ministry.
Pray for our congregation, all our families, and our ministries.
May she rest in the loving arms of the Author of life. Let her spirit and example be the sun that continues to shine in our community.
