Sixth-grade students from the Liebfrauengymnasium Büren (LFG) made their way to the monastery to share their love of reading with their partner, the Franciscan Sisters of Salzkotten.

Full of anticipation, the young people planned their reading tour and selected the appropriate books for the various groups that day. They read at the “Little Friends” kindergarten, at the St. Clara retirement home, and for the sisters in the convent. The selected stories immediately captivated the youngest listeners in the kindergarten. The children’s bright eyes, applause, and many moments of shared play demonstrated that the LFG students had immediately settled in. A cheerful and warm atmosphere was also evident in the retirement home and among the sisters, as young and old met and there was much to talk about.
