25TH Jubilee Of Consecrated Life
The Franciscan Sisters’ community in Caransebeș celebrated on Saturday, July 5, 2025, the 25th Jubilee of consecrated life of Sister M. Lydia Fechetă through a solemn Holy Mass celebrated in the parish church of Caransebeș.
The Holy Mass was presided over by His Excellency József Pál, Bishop of Timișoara, together with His Excellency Ioan Bot, Bishop of the Greek Catholic Eparchy of Lugoj, and concelebrated by several priests present at the event. The celebration was attended by Franciscan Sisters from the communities of Caransebeș, Salzkotten, and Rome, Sister Lydia’s family, parishioners, and many others who are close to or collaborate with the Sisters.
It was a day full of gratitude for the gift of life and vocation, of joy shared within the family, the community, and all those present at the celebration.

In his homily, His Excellency József Pál emphasized that:
“God dreamed us into existence from eternity and created us to respond to His call – a call that remains a mystery in each person’s life and leads us toward the fulfillment of His plan of love.”
During the Eucharistic celebration, the Franciscan Sisters renewed their religious vows, lifting a hymn of praise and thanksgiving to God for the gift of vocation and His faithfulness throughout all these years.
