Support for Education through the Donation of Backpacks and Warm Clothes

Education is the foundation on which the future of every individual—and, implicitly, of the entire societyis built. Through education, children learn to think critically, to dream big, and to become responsible people capable of contributing to the well-being of the community they belong to. Education is what gives each child the chance to overcome their circumstances, rise above hardships, and build a dignified and meaningful life.

In this spirit, at the beginning of September, before the school year started, we, the sisters, organized a charitable action through which we offered fully equipped backpacks to children from a village near Caransebeș, along with warm clothes to protect them during the cold season.

We believed that each backpack given represents an extra chance for education, and each warm piece of clothing is a comfort on freezing days.

Seeing their happiness and gratitude touched our hearts and reminded us how important it is to be there for those who need us.

“Season of Creation” – a time of grace and gratitude in the Caransebeș community

In the spirit of the Catholic Church, which celebrates the Season of Creation each year from September 1st to October 4th, the community in Caransebeș also embraced this special time as an opportunity to pause from the daily routine and to contemplate and praise God’s wondrous work in creation.

Under the guidance of Sr. Lydia Fechetă, two gatherings were held, marked by prayer, fellowship, and reflection. The first took place within our local community, where in an atmosphere of silence, biblical meditation, and sacred music, we gave glory to the Creator for the beauty and harmony of the world around us.

The second meeting was held with the parish seniors, who, with the wisdom of years, offered prayers and peaceful thoughts, strengthening the bond between people and God’s creation. Participants were encouraged to live with gratitude for the gift of creation, to take responsibility for caring for the environment, and to recognize in every creature a reflection of the love of our Heavenly Father.

Hope, Community, and Synodality – Central Themes at the Pastoral Days in Timișoara

Over the course of three days, from October 2nd to 4th, nearly 200 participants – priests, consecrated persons, and laypeople – gathered in Timișoara for the Pastoral Days organized by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Timișoara.

The event focused on three essential themes for the life of the Church today: hope, community, and synodality. These were explored from various perspectives – theological, pastoral, pedagogical, social, and psychological – offering participants a broad framework for reflection, dialogue, and exchange of experience.

Among the participants was Sr. Marie Therese, who actively contributed to the discussions within the working groups and shared from her own spiritual and pastoral experience.

The Pastoral Days in Timișoara served as an opportunity to strengthen communion within the diocese and to deepen the understanding of synodality as a way of walking together in faith, listening, and mission.
